Launched by
Memorial Sloan-Kettering
Cancer Center
Dermatology Service in
cooperation with the
International Dermoscopy
Society and leading
centers worldwide as a
fully web based study.
Our aim
is to
create a new unified
algorithm composed of
features that are most
discriminatory between
nevi and melanoma and
have a high
inter-observer agreement.
We are seeking
volunteers of varied
dermoscopy experience
levels (dermatologists,
family practitioners,
and residents alike) to
participate as readers.
No prior dermoscopy
experience is needed.
Each reader
will be presented with
interactive teaching and
testing lessons on
dermoscopic diagnosis
with feedback from the
leading world experts.
All participants will be
listed on the
International Dermoscopy
Society UDA Study Group.
In
July 2011, at the
conclusion of the study,
each participant will be
informed of their
diagnostic accuracy
score. Based on these
scores, we will be
giving prices to 3
residents and 3
attending with the
highest scores.
All participants
completing the study
will be entered into a
lottery and 1 will win a
dermatoscope (700$ value),
3 will win a dermoscopy
atlas and 6 will win a
dermoscopy handbook!
